who i am
Hello and welcome to my website! I'm Natalie, the Founder & Owner of The Marketing Artisan, LLC est. 2019. I'm a simple, Midwest girl at heart. I grew up in a small town where things like sports, community service, church and family/friends shaped my youth. I value things like integrity, respect, grit, empathy, character, morals and humor.

I'm a wife and mom first, and everything else comes second. I would describe myself as an introverted extrovert; when in a social setting I'm very outgoing, but I also enjoy my quiet time at home. My hobbies (before I became a mom) include volleyball, running, being outdoors, and attending farmers markets and craft fairs. I have an obsession with coffee and I'm a recovering perfectionist.
what i do
Marketing is a complex field with many different areas of expertise. My varied skillset (jack of all trades, expert of none) makes me an excellent fit for small businesses that recognize the value of marketing/advertising, but don't have the resources to pursue a full-time employee. My services are ideal for the business owner looking to implement marketing initiatives for the first time or to improve upon some of the tactics they may already have in place. I am also a great fit for larger businesses that may have a marketing professional on staff, but are looking for additional perspective through consulting or to help manage the ebs and flows of workload. I am located in Southwestern Wisconsin, but have served clients around the Midwest, and even as far away as Atlanta, Georgia.

I have nearly a decade of experience in the corporate world as a marketing professional, across multiple industries and markets. After becoming a mother in 2022, I left the corporate world to be a stay-at-home-mom and pursue The Marketing Artisan LLC during nap times, nights and weekends as a way to have the work-life balance my family needed.

I was named to the In Business Magazine 40 Under 40 Class of 2022 at the age of 29.

I serve on various non-profit and for profit boards, including the United Fund of Iowa County Board of Directors, the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center Emerging Leadership Board and Badger Testing Services Advisory Board.
I'm a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Platteville, where I was a double major in Business Administration - Marketing and Communications - Public Relations and have a minor in Social Media. I was named the 2014 oustanding student in the School of Business and was a top four finalist for the 2014 College of BILSA Valedictorian.
In addition, I have a Remote Pilot License for Unmanned Small Aircraft (basically I am a commercial drone pilot) since 2016.
